Hezbollah announced, on Monday, that it confronted an Israeli force with missiles and drones as it advanced into a town in southern Lebanon, despite the announcement that the agreement to stop the war between Iran and the United States includes Lebanon.

The party said in a statement: “After observing an Israeli enemy army force consisting of a bulldozer and two Merkava tanks advancing from Hima Arnoun – Pincer towards the crossing area on the outskirts of the town of Kafr Tibnit on Monday, it was confronted with guided missiles and Ababil attack helicopters, forcing it to retreat.”

For his part, the director of Al Jazeera’s office in Lebanon, Mazen Ibrahim, said that what happened was the launching of 3 missiles towards the Israeli occupation forces stationed in an area known as the Al-Zafata site, which is located behind the Ali Al-Taher Heights in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.

He added that it seemed that Hezbollah forces thought that there was a new advance by Israeli forces, so they fired 3 missiles at them.

He pointed out that Israeli artillery responded by firing 3 shells towards the area.

He said that this field data is extremely important because it paints a picture of how the Israeli occupation forces dealt with establishing a ceasefire in southern Lebanon, as he described it.
