The beginning of the transfer period witnessed remarkable activity within Real Madrid, which is close to finalizing the contract with Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella, the Chelsea player, after reaching a verbal agreement between all parties, with the transfer to take place after the 2026 World Cup.
The Royal Club continues its strong moves in the transfer market, within the framework of a project aimed at strengthening the team’s ranks with experienced and high-quality elements, after having already completed prominent deals represented by Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, and Bernardo Silva, confirming its desire to maintain its position at the forefront of Spanish and European football.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between Real Madrid, Chelsea and Cucurella is almost final, in a deal expected to exceed 50 million euros (about 54 million dollars), despite the interest of other clubs such as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the services of the player, who played 24 international matches with the Spanish national team.

This deal falls within a broad sporting project led by the new technical staff under the supervision of Jose Mourinho, who seeks to reshape the team according to a new competitive vision, especially in the left-back position, which already includes several options such as Ferlan Mendy, Fran Garcia and Alvaro Carreras.
Cucurella is currently in the camp of his country, Spain, as it prepares to enter the 2026 World Cup competitions today, Monday, June 15, against Cape Verde in Group H, which also includes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
