England goalkeeper Dean Henderson said he recovered his boots after training equipment was stolen before the team arrived at its camp to prepare for the World Cup, on Saturday.
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas had previously issued a statement regarding the “theft.”

He said officials at the “local and federal levels” were investigating the theft from vehicles transporting equipment from England’s training camp in Florida, but most of the items were now understood to have been recovered.
Henderson was asked after England’s first training session at Sweep Soccer Village if he had lost his shoe. The Crystal Palace goalkeeper said: “I think I lost it, but I got it back, so everything is fine,” adding: “I think they got everything back, so things are good.”
Defender Dan Byrne seemed calm about the incident, and said: “It is clearly related to the police. So I don’t know how much people know about it. We didn’t know much about it, but I have all my equipment and all my shoes.”
The England national team – one of the most prominent candidates to win the World Cup – led by German coach Thomas Tuchel held a light training session in front of dozens of fans on Saturday.
The Three Lions team opens its World Cup campaign against Croatia on Wednesday, before other matches in Group Twelve against Ghana and Panama.
