After about a month of official investigations, Paris accused an Israeli company of interfering in previous elections in France, and demanded clarifications from Tel Aviv in this regard.
The French accusation of a company known as “Blackcore” was not limited to its interference in the French elections, but rather extended to the influence of this company in political events in other countries such as Angola, Togo, and Scotland, as well as the municipal elections in New York City in the United States in 2025.
The head of the French National Agency for Monitoring and Combating Foreign Digital Interference and Disinformation, Marc-Antoine Brelan, announced last Thursday, in a press conference with Prime Minister Sebastien Lacornu, details regarding the Israeli company’s targeting of the “Proud France” party, which supports the rights of the Palestinian people.
Brelan said they encountered an organized operation that included a wide range of digital assets, fake websites, fake social media accounts, the ability to work across multiple social media platforms simultaneously, and the use of a wide range of digital tools.
Investigations that traced the geography of the foreign party behind the interference campaign revealed evidence of a connection to a company suspected of exercising digital influence called Blackcore, which is based in Israel, according to Brilan, who said that investigators have not yet identified the potential sponsor of this interference.
According to Anadolu Agency, the company committed interference in the French municipal elections, which included digital smear and defamation campaigns against three party candidates before municipal elections held last March.

Target forces
Like the leftist French party, the other targeted political forces present an international discourse that supports the rights of the Palestinian people and opposes the Israeli occupation.
In light of these developments, France – through its Prime Minister, Sebastien Lacournau – demanded clarifications from Israel regarding the activity of “Blackcore” and assistance in identifying the party behind the defamation campaign, indicating that Tel Aviv would have behaved in the same way if it had been targeted by digital interference from a French company from French territory.
Later, Lacorno explained in a post on the
In light of these developments, the Times of Israel published a statement from the Israeli embassy in Paris, in which it said that it was awaiting the details of the investigation to conduct its own investigation after it received from Paris a request regarding the aforementioned company.
Smear campaign
According to the statement, Israel does not intend to interfere in the French political process, whether at the national or municipal level.
Last month, the French authorities launched investigations to determine who commissioned the company to carry out a smear campaign targeting at least three candidates for the position of mayor in the cities of Marseille, Toulouse, and Roubaix.
Based on media reports at the time, the campaign included the creation of misleading websites and false accounts on social media platforms, which promoted allegations of criminal behavior by the candidates.
Although the company described itself on its website and LinkedIn page as “an elitist specializing in influence and information warfare,” these platforms were later closed.
