Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed his country’s adherence to its positions and that it will not concede or surrender, sending a message to the enemy not to imagine Tehran’s surrender, stressing that no country can be forced to surrender through aircraft and bombing.
During a speech he delivered today, Wednesday, in the Iranian capital, Tehran, Pezeshkian revealed his vision based on the directives of the revolutionary leadership, explaining that war is not in the country’s interest, but that the state of “no peace and no war” is a situation that must be ended.
He stressed that the Supreme Leader allowed negotiations to resolve the outstanding issues, provided that this was done with “pride” and without retreating from sovereignty or national dignity, saying that the enemies “if they want to attack our pride and lands, then our retreat is something they will not see even in their dreams.”
The Iranian President called for the cohesion and solidarity of all national components and security agencies to confront the enemy, stressing the necessity of unity and harmony, and pointed out that the enemy is seeking to formulate plans aimed at provoking differences and destabilizing this unity.
During his speech, Pezeshkian stressed the need to stand with the Iranian will to continue this battle, pointing to the Israeli targeting of Revolutionary Guard leaders in the first days of the war. He considered this matter “unacceptable” and that the government bears a “heavy responsibility” at this stage.
Sedition plans
The Iranian President explained that the enemy, after failing in direct military actions, moved to a “war of differences,” where he based his plans on creating gaps within Iranian society and between state institutions.
Pezeshkian called for the necessity of unity, considering that differences in opinion should not lead to division, but rather the logic of mutual retreat and acceptance of the other must prevail for the sake of the country’s higher interest.
He also praised the role of mothers and women who stood steadfastly over the course of 100 days, describing them as “a thorn in the eye of enemies” and thwarting the expectations of political analysts who bet on the fall of the revolution within days.
Managing the country
Pazeshkian did not hide the extent of the economic and political challenges facing his government, as he stressed that Iran faces harsh international sanctions, and that managing the country in light of this inability and these circumstances represents a “difficult test” and a heavy responsibility.
He pointed out that the government’s job is to create a bright future for Iranian children to live with hope, stressing that poverty represents a major concern for him before God and the people.
In the context of his talk about the steadfastness of the peoples, Pazashkian cited the field reality in the Palestinian territories, noting that the enemy was unable to force Gaza, with its small area, to surrender despite the passage of 3 years of brutal war, stressing that whoever failed to subjugate Gaza would never force Iran to surrender, describing this possibility as “something that will never happen.”
The Iranian President concluded his speech by emphasizing the concept of the “greater jihad” represented by self-jihad and assuming responsibility, stressing that success in managing the affairs of society and rising above personal and political desires for the sake of the country’s elevation; It is the real challenge that the state seeks to achieve in order to emerge from the current crises with strength and stability.
