Actor James Handy has died.
His girlfriend’s son alerted the police – and has now been arrested on suspicion of murder.
– I have just killed the man of sin, he is said to have said in the emergency call, according to the police.
On Wednesday morning, police were called to a house in the West Valley area of Los Angeles. At the front of the house, the 81-year-old actor was found James Handy with a stab wound to the chest.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
– It is with great sadness that I can confirm that the man who was attacked and killed last Wednesday in Tarzana was actor James Handy, says a representative according to Variety.
The police confirm that the son of the actor’s girlfriend has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He himself must have lived at the address together with his mother.
“The suspect stopped officers who were on their way to the scene and said he was the one they were looking for,” the police said in a statement.

It was also he who first raised the alarm about the incident. He then allegedly said that he “just killed the man of sin”.
“The police believe that this is an isolated incident and that there does not appear to be any danger to the public at this time,” the police write in a statement.
James Handy made his first film role in 1977 and has appeared in films such as “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Jumanji”.
