Lynn Grant.

The first day of the US Open Linn Grant, 26, just wants to forget.

The Swede went around in 77 strokes and is far behind the top battle.

Grant is battling the chronic disease endometriosis and she’s honest about how it affects her game.

Although the 26-year-old is often in the top 25 in majors, she is still waiting for a real top ranking.

It doesn’t look like it will come during the US Open.

Grant has struggled at The Riviera and went six over par on Thursday’s round. There are as many strokes as Madelene Sagström.

The Swede’s lousy start

Sagström is seven months pregnant and has had one before interview with Sportbladet said that it now requires more of the body to play and that she gets more tired than usual.

Perhaps that is also the explanation for the play during the first round.

Things went better for the reigning US Open champion Maja Stark. Although she got off to a shaky start, the 26-year-old found her way back to her game.

Stark started the day on hole 10 and made double bogeys on holes 14 and 15. She followed that up with a bogey on hole 16.

But after a much better finish, she went around on par.
