Hezbollah broadcast scenes that it said documented the targeting of technical equipment belonging to the Israeli army in the town of Rashaf, southern Lebanon, with assault marches, last Saturday.

The party had announced earlier, Thursday, that it had carried out four attacks targeting Israeli army gatherings and vehicles that penetrated areas of southern Lebanon.

He said in separate statements that these operations came in response to what he described as Israeli violations of the ceasefire and repeated attacks on southern villages.

He explained that he targeted 3 gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the town of Qantara using missiles and drones.

He added that he carried out another attack targeting a leadership position of the Israeli army in the vicinity of the historic Beaufort Castle with two assault drones.

At the conclusion of a fourth round of negotiations in Washington, Lebanon, Israel, and the United States announced in a joint statement Thursday that Beirut and Tel Aviv had agreed to implement a ceasefire.

This agreement depends on the complete cessation of Hezbollah’s fire and the evacuation of all its members from the South Litani area in southern Lebanon.

According to the statement, these steps pave the way for a comprehensive peace and security agreement, and the delegations discussed a security framework that focuses on ensuring the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Lebanon and Israel, and includes dismantling non-state armed groups and preventing their restructuring.

In this context, Lebanese Army Commander Joseph Aoun said in a statement that the United States will determine the date and mechanism for implementing the ceasefire with Israel, likely to take effect 24 hours after it is informed of the approval.

Since last March 2, Israel has launched an expanded aggression against Lebanon, leaving 3,516 dead and 10,674 wounded as of Wednesday afternoon, in addition to more than a million displaced, according to official data.

Israel has been occupying areas in southern Lebanon, some of them for decades, and others since the previous war between 2023 and 2024, while during the current aggression it infiltrated a distance of more than 10 kilometers, which is the deepest incursion in more than 25 years, when it withdrew from southern Lebanon in 2000.
