Two Swedes finished last.
The third didn’t even make it to the finish line.
It was a Diamond League night to forget for the blue and yellow part.
Samuel Pihlström, 25, was always last in his 1500-meter race in Rabat. After just over half the race, the Swede was significantly distanced from the rest of the field and on the last lap – with 400 meters to go – he stepped off.
It was the end of a busy blue-yellow evening in Morocco’s capital. Vanessa Kamga (discus) and Wictor Petersson (shot put) came last in their respective disciplines.
Kamga threw 59.78, almost two meters shorter than the runner-up, and was not allowed to throw more than three throws. It is just over four meters shorter than the 28-year-old managed last weekend, 64.02.
Petersson clocked 20.39 and was six decimetres up to second jumbo in the shot put competition. The 28-year-old’s season’s best is one meter longer, 21.38.
