Cancelo became the first player in history to win 4 of the five major leagues on the old European continent, according to the Spanish newspaper AS.
During his professional career, Cancelo (31 years old) previously won titles in the English Premier League, the Italian League, and the German League several times, before adding to his series of achievements in the Spanish League with Barcelona.
League titles won by Cancelo during his football career:
- English Premier League (3 times) with Manchester City: seasons 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023.
- German League (1) with Bayern Munich: 2022-2023 season, in which he played for the Bavarian giant in the second half of the season on loan from Manchester City.
- Italian League (1) with Juventus: 2018-2019 season.
- Spanish League (1) with Barcelona: 2025-2026 season.
In addition to these titles, Cancelo owns another local title, the Portuguese League, which he achieved once with Benfica in the 2013-2014 season.
Cancelo outperforms Ronaldo and others
Cancelo broke up his partnership with many European football stars who had previously won three major league titles, led by his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, according to what the Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported.
Ronaldo, the current star of Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia, has previously won the English Premier League (3) with Manchester United, the Spanish League (2) with Real Madrid, and the Italian League (2) with Juventus.

In addition to Ronaldo, there are many players who have won three major league titles, the most famous of whom is the Englishman David Beckham, the French duo Claude Makelele and Thierry Henry, and the Argentine Gabriel Heinze, who won the English, Spanish and French leagues.
The Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who won the Italian, Spanish and French leagues, also appears on the list, as does the Dutchman Arjen Robben, who won league titles in England, Spain and Germany, and the Chilean Arturo Vidal, who won league titles in Spain, Germany and Italy.
Cancelo celebrates the LaLiga title
Cancelo celebrated the La Liga title, posting several photos before, during and after the match on his official Instagram account, one of which appeared alongside his wife and daughter.
Cancelo commented on the photos by saying: “Since I was in my mother’s womb, this was already written in my destiny,” accompanying it with two hearts in blue and red, the colors of Barcelona.
Cancelo joined Barcelona in the last winter transfer market from Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia on loan for a period of 6 months, which means that he must return to the ranks of “Al-Zaeem” after the end of the current season.
During this period, Cancelo participated with Barcelona in 20 matches in all tournaments, during which he scored one goal and provided his teammates with 4 assists, according to data from the famous “Transfer Market” website.
According to the newspaper, Cancelo wants to stay with Barcelona, and German coach Hansi Flick wants to rely on him next season.
The Blaugrana management must negotiate with its counterpart in Al Hilal to include Cancelo permanently, knowing that the former is not prepared to pay a large sum for a player who only has one year left on his contract.
