Badri Kvaratskhelia, father of Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, confirmed that his son does not intend to leave his French football team, Paris Saint-Germain, this summer.

Despite the continued interest shown by English Arsenal, Kvaratskhelia (25 years old) is still fully committed to the Paris Saint-Germain project, as the French capital club seeks to win the Champions League title for the second season in a row.

News reports indicate Arsenal’s great interest in Kvaratskhelia, as Spanish coach Mikel Arteta, the team’s coach, seeks to enhance his attacking options during the upcoming summer transfer period.

Sky Sports reported that Arsenal’s management is considering contracting with the player, who has established himself as one of the most dangerous wingers in European football since his move to Saint-Germain from Napoli, Italy, for 80 million euros in January 2025.

However, Arsenal faces a fierce battle to sign Kvaratskhelia, as Saint-Germain, the captain of the Georgian national team, is currently considered an untouchable player after 18 months of continuous brilliance in Paris.

With the current European champions keen to maintain the strength of their main team, the process of moving to the Emirates Stadium seems more complicated.

The famous Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, through his personal account on the (X) platform, conveyed the statements of Badri, Kavaratskhelia’s father, who denied rumors of his son’s departure during the summer transfer period.

The father of the Saint-Germain star confirmed that his son is completely satisfied with his life in the French League, and does not want to leave as long as his team continues to compete for the highest titles.

Badri said: “Khvicha leaving Paris Saint-Germain? He is not thinking about that. He is happy in Paris, where he enjoys great appreciation and respect from the club. Why would he think about moving to another place when he is winning titles with the team and is considered one of the most important players for Paris Saint-Germain?”

He added, “If Saint-Germain no longer wishes to continue cooperation, we will study the options available to us, but this matter is not currently up for discussion.”

Kvaratskhelia proved his worth in the expensive deal that was allocated to him since his arrival in France, where he quickly secured his place in the starting lineup despite the intense competition for his position.

During 74 matches with the French League champion, Kvaratskhelia scored 24 goals and assisted 17 goals for his teammates, including his goal in the Champions League final last season when Paris Saint-Germain defeated its Italian counterpart, Inter Milan, by a clean score.
