Qatar Airways announced the resumption of its daily operations to Bahrain and Kozhikode in India, starting next May 1.
It said in a statement that this step falls within the framework of rebuilding and strengthening its global network of destinations to enhance travelers’ access to major travel markets across 6 continents.

This announcement comes after Qatar Airways recently announced the return of its daily flights to Dubai and Sharjah, starting April 23, 2026, and to Damascus, starting next May 1, in a move aimed at providing greater flexibility and broader air connectivity options for travelers across the Middle East and various global destinations.
Qatar Airways invited passengers on board its flights to visit the website or the Qatar Airways application and ensure that their contact information is updated.
Qatar Airways offers passengers several options to take advantage of flight tickets issued by April 30, 2026, for travel between February 28 and September 15, 2026, including:
- Free travel date adjustments no later than October 31, 2026, subject to seat availability and seasonal price changes.
- Refund of the unused portion of the ticket, subject to the usual fee conditions.
- If there is a change to the flight, passengers will still be able to benefit from making additional changes to the reservation without charge until 31 October 2026, while maintaining the same class of travel that was booked.
- Passengers can also refund the unused portion of the ticket without any fees.
More than 150 destinations
In the same context, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Qatar said that as of mid-June 2026, the number of Qatar Airways destinations will reach more than 150 destinations.

Last week, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Qatar announced a gradual return to the operation of foreign airlines to Hamad International Airport in Doha, noting that this decision came after a comprehensive assessment of the situation, and in coordination with all relevant authorities in the country, to ensure high levels of readiness and efficiency.
The authority stated that all flights and operational operations “will be conducted in accordance with the highest internationally approved safety and security standards, with the application of all procedures and measures that ensure the protection of travelers and workers in the aviation sector.” The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority stressed that “the safety of everyone comes at the top of its priorities.”
The US-Israeli war on Iran led to the closure or restriction of the use of the airspace of a number of countries, especially in the Gulf, Iraq and Iran, in addition to increasing concerns related to the safety of civil aviation in light of security risks, such as missiles and drones.
