He added to reporters in Los Angeles after the victory: “But as long as we win and qualify for the next round, that is what is most important.”
When a journalist asked him why he appeared frowning after winning a World Cup elimination match, Jamal confirmed that he was happy inside even if he did not show it externally: “I am really happy. This match is over, and now we have to think about the next.”
He added: “I am very grateful for the love I receive on every field. This helps me enter the field with greater motivation.”

Jamal, who is approaching his nineteenth year, reiterated that his dream is to win the World Cup in the final scheduled in New Jersey on July 19, and he said: “There is nothing better than the World Cup.”
He added: “When any child dreams of football, he dreams of playing in the World Cup. I want to advance in the rounds and win with Spain.”
He continued: “We are not afraid of any team. We are Spain. We have to prove that on the field.”
Yamal smiled for a moment when a journalist showed him a video clip of his three-year-old brother celebrating the victory in the stands of Los Angeles.
He said: “It touches me to see my brother, my mother, and my friends happy. My brother is like a son to me. I adore him.”
Thursday’s comfortable victory also marked the fourth consecutive match in which Spain has kept a clean sheet in this World Cup, without conceding any goals so far.
