A fire has broken out in a boat that was lying on an island in Vänern outside Mariestad, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
Two people are said to have been injured, the Swedish Maritime Administration’s maritime and air rescue center (JRCC) tells GP.
– We have freed the boat so that the fire will not spread further, so now it is out in the water, says Isac Östman, assistant sea rescue leader at JRCC, to the newspaper.
The alarm came in just after 1pm on Saturday. An ambulance helicopter is on its way and two rescue boats are on the scene.
