Last autumn, two men were found shot to death in a car in Gothenburg. The same night, the suspected shooter was arrested after a dramatic car chase in Oslo.

Now the man is sentenced to life imprisonment for the double murder.

The double murder, in the district of Lunden in early September, was one of several shootings in Gothenburg last year that are believed to be connected to a gang conflict in Biskopsgården.

Two men were recently sentenced to life and just under 16 years in prison for a double murder in Biskopsgården in April last year. Now a 35-year-old Norwegian man is convicted of the double murder in Lunden.

In addition to the murder, he is also convicted of aggravated weapons offense and aggravated threat to an official, because in connection with the arrest in Oslo he threatened the police who arrested him.

The man has admitted that he fired the shots that killed the two men in Lunden, but has claimed self-defense.
