One person has died in the French coastal city of Biarritz after a cliff collapsed on Wednesday. Another person is missing.
The two people and a third were diving near the cliff when it collapsed. The third person escaped unharmed and was helped by rescue personnel on site.
The authorities have cordoned off the area adjacent to the cliff due to the risk of further landslides.
Biarritz in the southwest of France is considered one of the best places in Europe for surfers. Tons of tourists visit the city every year.
