The summer of 2026 is here – and that means not only sun and hammocks, but also loads of new films, series and TV entertainment. At tv.nu, we have handpicked the summer’s hottest premieres, so you don’t have to search. Regardless of whether you like crime dramas, reality shows or blockbusters – here is everything you need for a maxed-out summer.

Series to keep track of

House of the Dragon – June 22 (HBO Max)

Now it is almost time to return to Westeros. A new season of the hit series House of the Dragon is approaching and the wait will soon be over. The series, shown exclusively on Max, takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and follows the powerful family Targaryen’s struggle for power.

With grand dragons, political intrigue and spectacular battles, the series has become a must for all fantasy lovers. Take the opportunity to catch up or relive the drama ahead of the upcoming season.

Avatar: The Last Airbender – June 25 (Netflix)

The Last Airbender is already a classic and exists both as an animated series and a film. A couple of years ago, Netflix’s own live-action version came out, where the young and talented Aang, together with his friends, does everything to save the world against the Fire Nation. It was hugely appreciated and many fans have been waiting a long time for a new season. It’s coming on June 25th on Netflix – don’t miss it.

The Bear – June 26 (Disney+)

The claustrophobic chef drama The Bear returns in early summer – with its final season. The story picks up the morning after last season’s finale, where Richie, Sydney and Natalie are forced to run the restaurant on their own after Carmy suddenly leaves everything behind.

Silo – July 3 (Apple TV)

Silo takes place in a near future where the earth has become uninhabitable and poisoned, forcing the surviving population into large, underground silos. But no one knows how long man lived down there, and hardly why. The few who question life underground are silenced. Engineer Juliette begins searching for answers, which leads her into dangerous territory. Returns with a new and final season on July 3rd. You see it on Apple TV.

Lucky – July 15 (Apple TV)

Lucky is an upcoming thriller series starring Anya Taylor-Joy as con artist Lucky, whose life is turned upside down after a multi-million dollar heist goes awry. On the run from both the FBI and a ruthless mafioso, she is forced to confront her past while struggling to survive. The series premieres on Apple TV on July 15.

Ted Lasso – August 5 (Apple TV)

Ted Lasso is a perfect series to stream when you’re in the mood for something easy to digest. The series is about Ted Lasso – a successful coach in American football. Out of nowhere, he gets a top job as coach of a soccer team in the English Premier League, even though he doesn’t know a thing about what we in Europe call soccer. Acclaimed by critics, loved by viewers. Season 4 premieres August 5.

The History of Sound – premiere: June 11 (SF Anytime)

IN The History of Sound Lionel and David reunite years after meeting at the Boston College of Music. Together they embark on a journey through Maine to document traditional folk songs, but along the way their friendship grows into a deep love affair that will mark Lionel’s life forever. Premiere on SF Anytime on June 11. At the top we find celebrated Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor.

Voicemails for Isabelle – premiere: June 19 (Netflix)

A cozy and light-hearted love drama will see the light of day on June 19. In Voicemails for Isabelle, we see how Jill begins to deal with her sister’s death by calling her and leaving voicemails, where she talks about her life, her love problems and her grief. What Jill doesn’t know is that the number has been assigned to a new person: Wesa lonely broker who begins listening to her messages. An unexpected relationship develops – despite the fact that they have never met.

Avatar: Fire & Ash – premiere: June 24 (Disney+)

On June 24th we return to Pandora i Avatar: Fire & Ash which has its streaming premiere on Disney+. The third film in James Cameron’s epic sci-fi saga follows Jake Sully and Neytiri’s family as they face a new threat: the aggressive AshClan, a Na’vi tribe living in the volcanic regions of Pandora. At the same time, conflicts grow both between the clans and within the family, in an adventure filled with spectacular environments and emotional trials.

Enola Holmes 3 – premiere: July 1 (Netflix)

Enola Holmes embarks on an adventure and ends up in southern Europe, specifically Malta, where her private and professional dreams collide in the most treacherous case yet. Premiering on Netflix on July 1.

TV entertainment to keep an eye on

Soccer World Cup – June 11 (SVT/TV4)

It may not have escaped anyone. But the football World Cup starts this summer and it is of course a party you want to be a part of. Sing-along at Skansen – June 23 (SVT Play)

On June 24, the popular entertainment program Allsång på Skansen premieres on SVT. Once again we get to see the beloved Pernilla Wahlgren lead the program.
