The government is to set up an investigation into abolishing the so-called elephant cemetery, SR Ekot reports.
It is former heads of authorities who are placed in the so-called elephant graveyard at the government office. They are either placed there after their agencies are shut down or because the government decides that the person should not remain in their post, and remain there on full pay until their appointment expires.
– We have a system that clearly sticks people in the eye, where there are completely unreasonable differences between ordinary employees and those who are general managers, says Minister of Civil Affairs Erik Slottner (KD) to the radio.
Instead, having a system with severance pay must be investigated. Eight people are now placed in the elephant cemetery.
