Pernilla Wahlgren

The Swedish Consumer Agency examines Pernilla Wahlgren.

The reason is that they believe the artist has made unauthorized advertising of alcohol on his social media.

The artist and the TV profile Pernilla Wahlgren58, is currently being reviewed by The Swedish Consumer Agency. According to the Siren news agency, the Swedish Consumer Agency has received reports that Wahlgren is advertising alcohol on his social media in a way that does not comply with the Marketing Act and the Alcohol Act.

According to the Alcohol Act, posts relating to the advertising of alcohol may not contain people, attractive environments or dishes. Only the product or packaging may be displayed.

In the post the report applies to, Wahlgren himself can be seen pouring an alcoholic drink into a glass with pineapple in it. Next to the glass is a cutting board with fruit on it.

The Swedish Consumer Agency therefore assesses that the marketing is inappropriate.

The Swedish Consumer Agency’s demands on Pernilla Wahlgren

Now Wahlgren must explain how the collaboration with the supplier of the alcohol has gone and what measures she will take. The Swedish Consumer Agency does not write what type of measures they want Wahlgren to carry out.

Wahlgren has until June 30 to submit documents to the Swedish Consumer Agency.

Wahlgren writes to Aftonbladet that she and her team have seen the Swedish Consumer Agency’s review and that they are looking into it now.

“I’m careful not to break any rules, so we’ll fix it if that’s the case,” she writes in a text message.
