Bonnie Tyler has woken up.
The rock legend was placed in a medically induced coma after emergency bowel surgery.
She is still seriously ill and in intensive care in hospital, according to German Photo.
In May underwent emergency surgery Bonnie Tyler75, for a perforated bowel. When they tried to wake her up from the operation, she allegedly went into cardiac arrest and was therefore placed in a medically induced coma, according to information given to the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã.
Now she has been awakened, but is still in intensive care at the hospital in Faro in Portugal.
“Her doctor is still convinced that she will recover, but it will take time,” writes Tyler’s management in a statement to Bild.
The star’s management also announces that parts of the planned summer tour will be canceled or postponed until next year. This applies to the gigs until August.
“Currently, we believe that the concerts this autumn can take place as planned”, they continue.
Bonnie Tyler from Wales in Great Britain had his international breakthrough in 1978 and is behind classics such as “It’s a heartache” and “Total eclipse of the heart”.
