Now she is suing the streaming giant.
She claims that interviews were cut in a misleading way.
The supermodel Tyra Banks52, is correct Netflix for defamation after the documentary series “Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model”, writes NBC News.
She accuses the streaming giant of misleading her into appearing in the documentary and claims her statements were taken out of context.
Banks claims that the series gives the impression that she avoided questions about an alleged sexual assault during the taping of the show, even though she says she was never asked any such questions.
According to Banks, Netflix only used 16 minutes of a three-and-a-half-hour interview.
Destroyed her ice cream business
The suit claims the series has caused “significant damage to and damaged the personal brand she has worked for decades to build and maintain worldwide” and that negative reviews of her Australian ice cream company Smize & Dream have “rocketed” since it aired.
Netflix has not commented on the matter.
The series examines the hit program “America’s Next Top Model”, which over the years has become famous for several controversies and scandals. The series premiered in 2003 and aired for 24 seasons until 2016.
Tyra Banks left as host in 2015, and now lives in Sydney, Australia.
