British artist MIA was kicked off Kid Cudi’s tour but claims the fellow artist never spoke to her about it.
Instead, she got the news from her son, according to an interview in the New York Times popcast.
In May, the British artist was forced MIA leave Kid Cudi’s tour due to political overtures about “illegal” immigrants from the stage. Last week, MIA also sued the artist colleague for breach of contract.
In an interview conducted before the lawsuit was filed, MIA says that Cudi never talked to her about her being fired. Instead, she heard the news from her son, who had seen it in the media.
– My son called me from school and said ‘well, I guess you’re coming home’, says MIA.
