Real Madrid is preparing its first major deals after Mourinho’s return sports

Spanish press reports revealed that Real Madrid is close to concluding the first deal to strengthen its ranks, inaugurating what was described as the “Second Mo era” (the second term of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho), coinciding with the administrative movement witnessed by the Royal Club.

Although Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez currently finds himself fully immersed in an electoral process, this situation does not limit his movements. Perez has the full ability and absolute authority to do and cancel whatever he wants within the club, as long as he has the approval and support of the Board of Directors.

Based on these powers, and regardless of what results next Sunday in the ballot boxes, the agreement with coach Jose Mourinho has already been closed and decided for him to return as coach of the team, while the next name nominated to join is 27-year-old defender Ibrahima Konate.

In this context, the Spanish newspaper AS confirmed in its electronic edition that French centre-back Ibrahima Konate, who becomes a free player due to the expiration of his contract with the English club Liverpool, will sign with Real Madrid on a four-year contract, in addition to one additional optional year.

This step comes to strengthen Madrid’s defense line, which has suffered and been significantly damaged recently, as a result of the departure of the duo David Alaba and Dani Carvajal, in addition to the injuries that struck the duo Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy.

Reports indicated that the French defender, who is distinguished by his towering height of 1.94 metres, is admired and accepted by Mourinho, who welcomes his arrival.

Accordingly, the deal may be officially announced as soon as the club’s presidential elections are completed, provided that Florentino Pérez is the chosen president and wins the position.
