When the Sheikh family fled the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip 3 years ago, they did not know that they would face a harsher fate at the hands of a French welfare association.
The children, Ribhi (11 years old), Nour (10 years old), and Hossam El-Din (8 years old), arrived in French territory with their father and grandfather, while their mother, Raghad Al-Sheikh, was among the dead due to the loss of contact with her.

For a whole year, the mother – who turned out to have survived death – has been unable to communicate with her children in any way, and she no longer knows anything about their fate. She believes that they are being subjected to a process of brainwashing and a change in values and concepts within this association, which she says deceives them that their Palestinianness is the cause of all their problems.
The tragedy began when the family got to know women working in the French “Palestine Unites Us” association, who claimed to be Palestinians, to share many of their lives with the father, grandfather, and children.
After their relationship strengthened, they kidnapped the three children and transferred their custody to an association under the pretext of their father’s mistreatment of them, despite the lack of physical evidence or medical report proving the mistreatment of the children.
When the father resorted to the judiciary, a French court ruled to keep the children with the association for one year, and completely prevent them from communicating with their father, according to what their mother, Raghad Al-Sheikh, confirmed to Al Jazeera.

Thus, children were completely prevented from communicating with their parents. Even their mother, who they used to communicate with by phone, is no longer able to reach them. The person responsible for the children no longer responded to her messages asking to see pictures of her children.
Neither the father of the three children nor their grandfather has been able to communicate with them or see them for 3 years. While the Palestinian authorities failed to provide any legal support to the family in this case, according to Raghad, who accused the person responsible for the children of extreme racism.
While Raghad carries her children’s clothes and toys, she sees that the family succeeded in getting the children out of the Israeli war of extermination, but failed to save them from the “racism of the international community,” which she says pursues the Palestinians wherever they are.
Raghad insists on considering her children kidnapped by the French authorities, who she says insist on separating her family instead of working to reunite them. She calls on officials and anyone with a conscience to return her children to her or join them wherever they are.
