The death toll continues to rise following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela at the end of June. A total of 3,889 people have now been confirmed dead, according to local authorities.
A further 17,000 people were injured in the twin earthquakes that hit the country on 24 June. Close to 18,000 people have lost their homes.
The earthquakes, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 respectively, are the strongest in Venezuela in over a hundred years and the death toll has been rising steadily in recent weeks.
