A man in his 30s has died in a drowning accident at a bathing place in the municipality of Gislaved, the police write.
The alarm came just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon from a bathing area outside Hestra.
– He must have been in the company of other people who saw him go into the water, says police spokesperson Martina Gradian.
Both divers and a helicopter were used in the search.
At 19:00 the man was found in the water and taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter, according to the police. Relatives have been notified.
