US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his life is in danger, and that he is the number one person on the assassination list in Iran.
Trump spoke during a press conference in the Turkish capital, Ankara, after the NATO summit about developments in relations with Iran, and after he renewed his threats to resume air strikes in response to the attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, he did not hide that he felt in danger, and said that Iran had put him at the top of the assassination list.
Trump pointed out that the Iranians “had leaders, and they left. Now they have another group of leaders. They may leave, too,” before adding, “Do you know something? I may leave, too, because I’m at the top of their list of targets.”

The American President defended his handling of the war on Iran, warning that he wanted to end the issue there, and “not play with the current leaders.”
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said: “We do not respond to obscenity with the same, but rather with action and with great courage and fearless boldness,” while the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs considered that addressing Trump, “the criminal and murderer,” should be in his language, “as he seems to understand the language of force better.”
These positions come in light of difficult negotiations between Tehran and Washington, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, with the aim of reaching an agreement to permanently stop the war between them.
The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28, leaving more than 3,000 people dead, according to Tehran, which responded with attacks that killed Americans and Israelis.
