The French website RMC indicated that the noise was audible inside the hotel, and also disturbed residents of neighboring buildings, at a time when the French national team players were spending their last night before the match.
Security intervention quietly
As a number of fans arrived in the vicinity of the hotel, they tried to chant songs in the hope of seeing the French national team players.
Security officials in charge of protecting the Roosters mission intervened and asked the fans to leave the place. The dialogue took place in a calm atmosphere, and ended with mutual smiles after some fans chanted the name of the security official in their songs, before the gatherings began to gradually disperse.
Special visit from Henri and Gignac
In the midst of this atmosphere, the French national team players received a visit from two former French football stars, Thierry Henry and Andre Pierre Gignac.
Henry met with a number of players, especially those he had previously supervised with the French Olympic team, while Gignac exchanged conversations with members of the delegation before leaving the hotel around midnight.
Gignac was keen to take some pictures with the attendees, confirming with a thumbs-up that the atmosphere inside the French team was good before the confrontation.
All eyes are now turning to the match stadium, where both the French and Moroccan teams are seeking to secure a qualification ticket to the World Cup semi-finals, in one of the most prominent confrontations of the tournament.
