A famous Swedish actor allegedly grabbed a woman’s wrist after being asked to leave a restaurant.
When the woman said he hurt her, he is said to have replied that he meant to, according to the investigation.
The man is now charged with minor assault.
The actor has denied any wrongdoing and says in questioning that he does not remember the incident and is shocked by the accusations.
The crime he is suspected of is said to have occurred at a restaurant with an associated shop in Stockholm last year. According to the plaintiffs and witnesses, the man allegedly became angry when he could not buy a newspaper. He then allegedly shouted at an employee that it was bullshit and became rude.
The actor is supposed to be a repeat customer who, according to employees, “sometimes gets angry and has an arrogant and unpleasant manner”.
When the man was asked to leave the premises, but did not listen, another store employee is said to have intervened. The woman, who is the plaintiff, states that the actor then grabbed her arm.
“Feeled like forever”
“The plaintiff must then have said something like: ‘You’re hurting me, I want you to let go’, to which the man replied roughly: ‘That’s what it’s meant to be,'” can be read in the preliminary investigation.
“The plaintiff felt that the grip lasted for 30 seconds to a minute, but that it felt like an eternity and during that time his screaming had turned into a smile. The plaintiff described it as if he was enjoying it and had gotten where he wanted. The grip was so tight that she could neither tear herself away nor break free,” it also states.
Wants compensation: “Scam thing”
Afterward, her arm is said to have become red and swollen and had tear marks. Now the woman wants SEK 10,000 in damages.
– I just see it as a scam from these people. I am completely shocked. I really don’t want to pay that, says the man when asked how he feels about the claim, in questioning.
– I am completely shocked and do not know what kind of thing you are bringing, he also says.
Trial is expected in October.
