Chinese President Xi Jinping says he is ready to work with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un for the development of the countries’ relationship to be “long-term, healthy and stable”, reports the state-run North Korean news agency KCNA.

The data comes about a month after Xi Jinping made an unusual visit to North Korea.

In the message from Xi that KCNA writes about, he states that the two countries together stood up for national independence.

China is an important source of diplomatic and political support for North Korea, which is one of the world’s most isolated countries and is subject to extensive international sanctions.
