More and more evidence points to the fact that the world’s currently biggest pop star Taylor Swift36, and the NFL pro Travis Kelce36, will be married this weekend.
Since the stars got engaged last August, many have speculated where and when the wedding will take place.
Right now, all eyes are on Madison Square Garden.
The New York Times has written that, according to sources, the couple is planning a small gathering for around 100 people on Thursday, July 2, and according to TMZ’s sources, there will be a more grand celebration the following day, Friday, July 3, where 1,000 guests have been invited and all of them have been forced to sign a so-called NDA, a confidentiality agreement.
In addition, a spokesperson for the mayor of New York has confirmed that someone has applied to block off several streets around the arena on those dates despite no public events being booked then.
Huge police note
Now TMZ writes that it will cost about 160,000 dollars, about 1.5 million Swedish kronor, for security during the two days according to the site’s calculations.
According to NYPD sources, more than 70 detectives from police stations around the city will be on duty Thursday and Friday and that more than 50 officers will be stationed at Madison Square Garden. The sources also say several high-ranking officers within the NYPD will be working through the weekend.
The site has previously written that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will have to pay approximately SEK 10 million per day to rent the arena for at least three days.
Whether it is the taxpayers or the couple themselves who need to pay the police bill is currently unclear, the site writes.
