The number of confirmed Ebola cases continues to grow in Congo-Kinshasa. In total, 1,307 people have been found to be infected, of which 377 have died, state authorities in the country.

The current Ebola outbreak has been caused by the so-called bundibugyo variant, against which there is no vaccine or specific treatment. Clinical trials of a possible vaccine will begin in the coming days, according to the WHO.
