Andrea was found in the rubble after the earthquakes but the daughter survived, the BBC reports.
The building where the family lived collapsed.
Soccer player Héctor Bello writes in several Instagram posts about how his wife saved their daughter’s life.
“How am I going to explain to your daughter that you sacrificed your life to save hers, and I wasn’t there to do anything? How am I going to explain it? Give me strength now.”
The daughter and her aunt are being treated in hospital but will be discharged in a few days.
“I’ll make sure to remind our little one how wonderful you were and how much you loved her.”
900 dead
Over 900 people have been confirmed dead and over 3,000 have been injured, according to news agencies. The death toll is feared to be much higher as over 50,000 people have been reported missing on a website where relatives can search for loved ones.
In several places, relatives are looking for people “with their bare hands” as there is a lack of disaster and search efforts, according to several media.
