Björn Wesström, 53, is presented by Brommapojkarna.
The AIK profile enters the role of transitional sports director.

The role means that he will work with the older academy teams within the club and players’ transition to both junior and senior football.

Worked at the rival for over 20 years
Wesström is best known for his time at AIK where, for almost 22 years, he had roles such as scout, sports director, club director and CEO.
However, the role of interim sporting director is new for both him and BP.
– The conversations I have had with the club have been characterized by a clear vision and an ambitious plan for how the transition from junior to senior football should be developed further. It’s a mission that inspires me a lot, he says and continues:
– I look forward to contributing with my experiences and perspectives, while at the same time I want to take part in the knowledge and experience that already exists in the business.
At the time of writing, BP is in seventh place in the Allsvenskan. They play their first game after the break against Gais, on the sixth of July at home.
