US President Donald Trump is criticizing the Senate after it voted to block Trump from resuming the war against Iran.
Trump accuses the vote of being “inconsequential” and having “poor timing,” in a post on Truth Social.
Four Republicans voted with Democrats in the vote, and the four are criticized by Trump.
The initiative, which got the green light in the House of Representatives earlier in June, cannot be stopped, but Democrats and Republicans differ on whether it is legally binding or more symbolic in nature.
The vote took place shortly after the United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war that the United States and Israel launched against Iran on February 28.
