Britain’s outgoing Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his likely successor Andy Burnham held a meeting on Tuesday which, according to sources, is described as “frosty”, The Guardian reports.
The meeting is said to have been around an hour long, and the focus was on the possible transfer of power.
Andy Burnham is so far the only candidate to become the new Labor leader and, by extension, the new prime minister. If he gets no challenger, he could become prime minister as early as July 17, according to the BBC.
