On Sunday, a woman was found dead on board a small boat that had traveled from the coast of France to Great Britain across the English Channel. No alarm from the person in distress had been heard, writes the AFP news agency.
Despite resuscitation attempts, the woman was confirmed dead by British police.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the corresponding criminal classification of causing the death of another.
In the past week, French and British authorities have seen a clear increase in escape attempts across the Channel – almost 800 migrants crossed the strait, writes the BBC.
Calm sea weather is believed to be behind the increased escape attempts.
