Morocco tied with Brazil in the 2026 World Cup
This remarkable progress in the FIFA classification came as a culmination of the exceptional performance presented by the Moroccan national team last Saturday, when it imposed a positive draw (1-1) on its Brazilian counterpart in the third group competitions in the 2026 World Cup.
Sports analysts praised the strong technical and physical level of the “Atlas Lions” in their opening match, describing the result as “a draw with the taste of victory.” With this valuable result, each team added one point to its score in the group, which also includes Scotland and Haiti.
The Moroccan national team enters the 2026 World Cup competitions with broad ambitions and high hopes, drawing inspiration from its immortal historical achievement in the World Cup (Qatar 2022), when it broke the monopoly of the seniors and became the first Arab and African team in history to reach the semi-finals, finishing that edition in fourth place globally.
