Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the world heritage religious site in Kiev that was attacked by Russia on Monday night.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin visit the ongoing G7 meeting for direct talks with Ukraine.

Zelenskyi’s statement on Monday took place in connection with the start of the summit in Evian-Les-Bains, France.

Zelensky stated that Moscow was “not ready” for such a meeting.

– We left – before the G7 meeting started – a message that we were ready to meet Putin during the meeting, Zelenskyy said in connection with his visit to the world heritage-class monastery in Kiev that was badly damaged in Russian attacks.

The play took place in conjunction with US President Donald Trump’s arrival at the summit.

In addition to France and the USA, the G7 group includes Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Canada and Japan, as well as a representative of the EU.
