Peg Parnevik is looking forward to being single this summer.
The artist must live his best life.
– I don’t want to meet anyone, but I just want to have fun. This is my first hot girl summer, a proper single summer, she says.
Peg Parnevik30, will perform at “Allsång på Skansen” this summer. In addition to that, she will tour and play in various places in Sweden, be in the studio and write new music.
It feels like you’ve been living the touring life for many years now, how would you describe it?
– The tour life is the best there is, but not so glamorous. Intense, but fun. I’ve said it before, if I get to be with the band every day, it’s been my best life.
Last spring, the news came that Peg Parnevik is single, after being in a relationship for three years. She then told Aftonbladet that they broke up already last fall.

Is it a single summer ahead of you?
– That’s it!
How is it?
– It’s fun. I don’t want to meet anyone, I just want to have fun. This is my first a proper single summer. Every summer I’ve said I’m going to be single, and then I meet someone right away. But now I’m just going to have fun on tour, festival summer, outdoor dining, hanging out with the girls, hanging out with my sister, just having fun.
What’s the deal with many people always dating someone when you think you shouldn’t?
– Always. I’ve always been like that. Now we’re going up on the tables, rosé all day, and then I’ll be super in love every time. So we’ll see, says Peg Parnevik and laughs.
But the plan is anyway a hot girl summer?
– Yes, hot girl summer. Deluxe.
“It will surely be scandalous”
Which of your songs are the most fun to play right now?
– Right now it’s “Tough girl”. I have a little… No, I won’t say love-hate, but “Better now” is always so much fun for everyone. It’s a sing-along feeling. But I think “Tough brud” or maybe… “Ain’t no saint” is always fun to throw in sometimes. It’s been ten years since I released it. Ten years ago I became an artist. So just make a throwback like that. But it’s all fun. It’s fun to have a concert. Fun when people sing along and get a little sweaty.
What are you going to offer here on the sing-along scene?
– I don’t know. I’m going to drive “Tuff brud”. But I don’t have the vision yet. But it will surely be scandalous!
