China Motorcycle Chamber of Commerce calls for an end to the “price war” | economy

On Saturday, a body representing motorcycle manufacturers in China called on companies operating in the sector to rein in the price war and, in return, focus on achieving growth with the highest quality, according to what was reported by Bloomberg.

The China Motorcycle Chamber of Commerce called on manufacturers, exporters and spare parts suppliers in the sector to limit significant price cuts and adopt more disciplined practices, stressing “the importance of rational pricing and orderly competition to maintain a stable and healthy environment.”

The same entity, through its official WeChat account, warned motorcycle manufacturing companies in the country that imitation and influxes of similar products “result in reducing profits and harming the reputation of this sector.”

The chamber also urged strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights and taking a more coordinated approach to overseas markets to help increase the status of Chinese motorcycle brands in the world.

China is the world’s largest exporter of motorcycles, shipping 18.23 million units in 2025, according to the China Motorcycle Chamber of Commerce.
