PlayStation surprised fans of its home platforms when it showcased the latest part of the God of War series of games, which will be released exclusively for its platforms soon, as part of its “State of Play” exhibition, which it held in recent weeks.
However, the “God of War” presentation was not the only surprise within the events, as it included more than 20 promotional displays for different games from major gaming companies.
Below are the most prominent offers revealed by PlayStation during the event:
Marvel Wolverine Deadline
The “Marvel Wolverine” game comes as the second adaptation by the American developer “Insomniac” of the “PlayStation” company from the unique “Marvel” universe of comic books, and the great success achieved by the “Spiderman” series adapted from the world of comic books through its three parts has contributed to increasing players’ eagerness for the new game.
The “Marvel Wolverine” game differs significantly from the “Spiderman” series of games, as it adheres to the original content that appeared in the comics and provides a very violent and bloody experience, according to what was stated in the British newspaper “The Guardian” about the exhibition.
The report states that the show provided a unique cinematic experience that closely resembles Hollywood films and captivates players even more.
Although this is not the first trailer that appears for the game, it is the most important one so far in revealing its official release date on the platform, which will be next September 15, with confirmation that it will be released exclusively for PlayStation platforms only.
New “Tomb Raider” postponed
PlayStation also showcased the latest “Tomb Raider” game, called “Legacy of Atlantis,” during the “State of Play” events, and this time it revealed that the game’s launch date has been postponed, according to a report from the American technical website “GamesRadar” that specializes in games.

Until Dawn was one of the prominent titles that was released simultaneously with the launch of the PlayStation 4 platforms in 2013, without the events of the game indicating the intention of having a second part.
Therefore, players were greatly surprised when Sony announced the release of the second part, “Antle Dawn 2,” next year without specifying a final date for the launch, according to a report by the “IGN” website.
The game follows the story of a group of ghost hunter friends who visit a tropical island to have fun, unaware that there is a killer hiding on the island.
The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 devices, according to the announcement, without specifying a final date for its release.
Kemuri game unveiled
The “Kimori” game is one of the surprises that appeared at the “State of Play” conference, as “PlayStation” presented a promotional presentation to reveal the game, showcasing some of its cinematic scenes and gameplay within it.
Although the game adopts a style closer to cartoon and anime series, it offers a visual experience that seems very enjoyable.
The game revolves around 3 monster hunters who search for monsters in their city and hunt them using their special abilities.
The game also includes a group play mode that allows three players to go on an adventure together and hunt monsters. Each character in the game has a different and unique movement style and a different fighting experience from the rest of the characters.
The game is expected to be released next year exclusively for PlayStation and PC platforms.
Revealing the new “Silent Hill”.
The conference also included the unveiling of the new “Silent Hill” sub-game. While the game does not follow the main story of the series, it provides an atmosphere similar to it.
The game looks very terrifying and fun at the same time, according to the Guardian report, and its events take place in British Scotland.
The game begins with Scotland being filled with many strange and terrifying monsters that use abandoned houses as their hunting grounds, and the game’s hero tries to eliminate these monsters and save his wife, as is usual in the “Silent Hill” game series.
The game will be officially released next September 24, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and personal computers.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword game
Capcom has brought back the Onimusha series of games with a new addition to the series called “Way of the Sword,” which offers the same experience, according to the Guardian report, but in a form suitable for modern platforms.
