Today, Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched an attack on Israel, saying that its current government is doing nothing but killing and spreading strife, tension and unrest in the region.

In a speech he delivered in the capital, Ankara, Erdogan described the Israelis as “monsters that smell blood,” and they will sooner or later pay the price for the blood they shed, noting that Lebanon is being subjected to suffering because of what he called “savage Zionism.”

He stressed that Israel today is following the method of the Nazi leader in Germany, Adolf Hitler, but “its consequence will be the consequence of the oppressors in history.”

He said, “Türkiye helps the oppressed around the world on the one hand and works to confront and prosecute criminals on the other hand,” praising the Turkish Red Crescent in its efforts to stand by the oppressed and the needy.

In his speech, Erdogan spoke about the aid that his country has provided to the people of the Gaza Strip from October 2023 until now, stressing that this aid arrives through the Red Crescent office in Gaza.

His speech comes at a time when Israel continues its aggression against southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, causing more casualties and great human suffering.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Turkish President said – during a speech he delivered at a meeting of the Justice and Development Party’s parliamentary bloc in the Turkish Parliament – that the attacks carried out by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his “criminal network” in Syria and Lebanon have reached a level that now threatens Turkey as well, warning that “Turkey’s security does not begin from its southern borders or from Hatay Province, but from Aleppo, Damascus and Beirut.”
