Salesmen knocked on doors in a residential area.
Then the neighbors called the police.

At 9 p.m., door-to-door salesmen rang from Tele2 on at several residences in Rosendal i Uppsala.
But the visits were not appreciated by everyone.
– It felt uncomfortable when two unknown people knocked on the door so late. I had started getting ready for bed, says a resident of the area.
The police: “Unruly”
According to the person, several neighbors were concerned and some perceived the sellers as aggressive. Finally, the situation led to the police being contacted.
– It is true that we were on site and checked two people who turned out to be legitimate sellers, they were just assertive, says police spokesperson Maria Hall.
No crime had been committed and the sellers were therefore not dismissed from the site, but they were given a reprimand.
At the same time, the police emphasize that the public should not hesitate to get in touch if something feels wrong – especially at a time when many are worried about fraud.

Tele2: “Seriously”
Tele2 also confirms that the company is aware of the incident and states that it takes the incident seriously.
– We are aware that a situation has arisen where a resident has experienced a salesperson as assertive, says Elsa Ankarcrona, communications manager at Tele2.
– We take this very seriously and have been in dialogue with the external sales company that we work with.
What do your guidelines look like?
– We are very careful with our way of working, and we have clear guidelines for everyone who works with selling our services so that our presence is perceived as safe.
– We announce home visits in advance and in collaboration with property owners. Our salespeople always wear clothes with our logo and clear identification.
According to Tele2, the increasing amount of fraud in society has also made door-to-door sales more challenging.
– In recent years, we have noticed that the concern about sellers being frauds has increased. This places high demands on our sellers to act professionally and reliably.
