Today, Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Lebanese to join Israel in its war against Hezbollah, considering that the country has become a “hostage” in the party’s hands, as he put it.
Netanyahu said, in a video message addressed to the Lebanese: “Israel is not at war with you. We are at war with Hezbollah, which has held your country hostage… Israel wants peace with you, with Lebanon.”
He added, “Create your future, join Israel, build security and prosperity for all our children. Once Hezbollah is dismantled, the possibilities will be endless, and they will be very enormous.”
Occupation losses
In parallel, Hezbollah continued to confront the daily Israeli attacks on Lebanon through a number of drone attacks that inflicted heavy losses on the occupation among its soldiers and equipment.
Today, Wednesday, the party announced the implementation of 10 attacks on sites, vehicles, and soldiers of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, including a transport vehicle, which it said was “loaded with civilian home property stolen by soldiers” in the town of Qantara, noting that the vehicle burned for an hour after it was hit.
He said in separate statements that he targeted five attacks on gatherings of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the town of Al-Bayada, and in the vicinity of the town of Yahmar Al-Shaqif, through missile launches and artillery shells fired in batches.
The party indicated that a tent in which Israeli soldiers were stationed near the riverbed on the outskirts of the eastern town of Zawtar was targeted by an “Ababil” attack drone.
He also said that he targeted a communications mechanism belonging to the Israeli army at Al-Salaa Hill in the town of Qantara with an assault march, confirming that a direct hit had been achieved.
In another attack, the party announced that it had targeted a leadership headquarters of the Israeli army in the town of Al-Bayada with missile launchers.
Continuous attacks
Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon, in violation of the fragile ceasefire agreement that began on April 17 and was then extended until the beginning of next July.
On Wednesday, the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2 rose to 3,696 dead and 11,413 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
Israel has occupied areas in southern Lebanon for decades, and entered others during the previous war in 2023 and 2024. During the current aggression, it advanced a distance of more than 10 kilometers, in its deepest incursion since its withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000.
