Sweden got the worst placement in the Eurovision Song Contest in 16 years.

For Felicia, 24, it felt like a failure.

– I was so afraid of what the whole of Sweden would think. Because I wanted to make them proud.

It has barely been three weeks Eurovision Song Contestthere Felicia Eriksson “My system” gave it to Sweden worst placing in the competition since 2010.

– It really is an experience that you usually only do once in your life, if even that, and I have positive memories from there. But of course I would have liked the result to be different, says the artist when she thinks back to the week in Vienna.

Before the final, the song did well on Spotify and after the performance, Felicia climbed the odds lists. Just before the results show, it looked like Sweden could get a top ten position.

– Could I have imagined that I would come in 20th place? No, absolutely not. I understood that I wasn’t going to win, but I was actually shocked. I’m the kind of person who usually sets the bar low to be happy. And I had it down low, but not enough, so everything turned out to be a pancake.

Was banned from speaking

It wasn’t just the result that didn’t turn out the way Felicia had envisioned. During the competition week, she also encountered a lot of problems: Fainted after a rep and also lost her voice and was banned from speaking.

Did it affect your performance?

– Yes, absolutely. The vote was not 110 percent. But I still think I performed really well considering the conditions I had – that I felt bad the day before, passed out and all that.

Even though Felicia herself thought she delivered and that the placement doesn’t really matter if you don’t win anyway, she was afraid that she had disappointed the Swedish people.

– But I really got a lot of love and people were so nice. It meant a lot considering I was so damn stressed and nervous afterwards. Also, my song has streamed great, so it doesn’t feel like a loss.

“We don’t have sex on stage”

Now the artist is leaving the Eurovision Song Contest behind and heading out this summer on his first own tour, which premieres at Gröna Lund on Saturday, June 6.

What will you offer?

– Oh, it will be sexy. There are certain sequences that are very, very pornographic. And also so much energy. It will be magical.

In what way will they be perky?

– There are little, maybe intimate dances in some places. So, we don’t have sex on stage, but people will probably find it challenging and I think it’s great fun.

In conjunction with the tour, Felicia also releases a new song. This already this Friday. “Me without u” is a Spotify collaboration where she has made her own version of Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina’s super hit “Stereo love” from 2009.

– I think the listeners will love it. So I really love this song and have since I first heard it. It’s a song that above all makes me super happy and also feels nostalgic. And I love it.
