NORWAY. From Crossed dicks on a small stage to Crossed on the very biggest.

The band from Älvdalen once again managed to make a success at Sweden Rock.

– That means everything, actually. It means everything, says Carl-Johan “Boogie” Fogelklou afterwards.

Last year they were on the Blåkläder stage, one of the smaller stages at Sweden Rock. This year stood Crossed on the very biggest stage at the rock festival, in front of a huge crowd.

– It was completely bizarre, you didn’t see the end of the audience, says the singer Stefan “Ubbe” Sjur.

The fact that they have now played for a packed Sweden Rock two years in a row is not something they take for granted.

– That means everything, actually. It means exactly everything, says Carl-Johan “Boogie” Fogelklou.

He gets the nod from Håkan “Pedro Sanchez” Sörle.

– I think people understand that we are not some fucking rock divas, but we are a unit, the audience and the band.

  Håkan Sörle, also known as

Ubbe has been in the audience at rock concerts for 50 years. It wasn’t until 2023 that he himself stood on a stage for the first time.

– It’s hard to try to grasp it when you’re standing there on Sweden Rock’s biggest stage. I try not to have these thoughts, but they catch up with me sometimes. “How the hell did I end up here? I don’t even know a guitar chord,” he says.

The tears on stage

At the end of the performance, Ubbe was noticeably moved on stage. It was when he sang the song “Dennis”, a song he strongly associates with with his dead brotheras the tears began to flow.

– That’s where everything catches up to me all the time. Then you can’t hold back the tears anymore. And then there is his girlfriend with whom he has been together and his child at the front. It’s all so big.

He continues:

– And then getting everyone to sing along. It’s absolutely incredible, it’s a feeling that can’t be described.

This is how Korslagda celebrates the success at Sweden Rock

When asked how they will now celebrate another success at Sweden Rock, they are modest.

– We’re going to have some dinner because we skipped lunch. It became too tight over time, says Pedro Sanchez.

– Maybe we’ll order some champagne. Or beer, says Ubbe.

Boogie interrupts them.

– We must also enjoy. Stop and just take in what we just went through. It’s so important to do it, so we’re going to really enjoy it now.
