The young player Ayoub Bouadi has become the talk of the sports street in Morocco after he officially joined the ranks of the “Atlas Lions”, making his official entry through the 2026 World Cup portal.
Bouadi (18 years old) is considered one of the most prominent emerging talents in French football, as the French national team waited for him slowly, but he chose to represent the Moroccan national team after a period of hesitation.

This decision sparked some controversy at first, before it gained the support of the Moroccan Federation and the fans of his country. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced its welcome to the player, confirming that he has returned to his home.
Since joining, Bouadi played his first experience in friendly preparatory matches. He started for a few minutes against the Burundi national team, then got a greater opportunity to start for 45 minutes in the match that Morocco won by a wide score over Madagascar 4-0.
Although he is still at the beginning of his international career, the Moroccan media praised his performance and described it as convincing in terms of calmness, simplicity of play, and the ability to quickly understand the coach’s instructions.
Moroccan national coach Mohamed Wehbe expressed his great admiration for the player, stressing that his integration into the group was rapid and that he possesses important qualities that will benefit the team in the future.
For his part, Bouadi expressed his great happiness at representing Morocco, and his desire to provide the best during the World Cup, as the Atlas Lions are waiting for strong matches against teams such as Brazil, Scotland and Haiti in the group stage.
