Algeria’s victory over the Netherlands worries Argentina
This victory sparked the interest of the Argentine media, led by the TyC Sports network, which considered it a “resounding surprise” and described it as “historic,” just a few days before the start of the global tournament.
The network wondered if this victory would “give birth to a new candidate to win the title,” especially since the Algerian national team players will enter the World Cup with spirits that “touch the sky.”

She warned her compatriot, coach Lionel Scaloni, against complacency in the face of Algeria and asked him to be very serious in the first “Tango” match in his quest to preserve the title he won in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Argentine national team is scheduled to launch the campaign to defend its title against Algeria in the first round of Group Ten matches, on June 17 at Kansas City Stadium, at 4:00 am Mecca time, 2:00 am local time in Algeria.
The Algerian national team had made 9 changes to its starting lineup against the Netherlands, as part of coach Vladimir Petkovic’s effort to test the largest number of elements he chose in his final squad that will compete in the World Cup.
Anis Hadj Moussa scored Algeria’s only goal 5 minutes before the end of regular time, following a wonderful individual effort on the right front, which he completed with a powerful shot from his left foot that landed in the upper corner of the goal.
The Algerian mission is scheduled to arrive in the United States in the next few days, to reside in Lawrence, Kansas.
The draw placed Algeria in the tenth group, alongside Argentina (the defending champion), Austria and Jordan.
