Instead, the passengers were surprised by the stars.

Already at the gate in Frankfurt, the passengers received a surprise. As a present before the trip to Chicago, they all received a German national team shirt, reports the news agency DPA.
The reason was that the German soccer stars were not allowed, as they often do for championships, to take a chartered special flight to the United States. Instead, they all boarded a scheduled flight from the German Football Association’s partner, Lufthansa.
But even if it was “just” an ordinary airplane, the German players did not have a bad time. The seats in first class and business class were reserved for the national team.
Offered for four courses
And there are several conveniences such as the newspaper Photo lined up.
Or how about 32- and 43-inch screens and seats that can be turned into beds? In business class, the players could also determine the heat for each individual seat.
You should have a good time during a trip that takes eight hours and two minutes, right? To satisfy the stomachs, star chef Johann Lafer had composed a special menu. The schedule included a four-course dinner where the main course either consisted of beef fillet, giant prawns or braised aubergine.
It remains to be seen what impact the flight had on the German national team. In the premiere, Germany meets the small nation of Curaçao (June 14). Then Ivory Coast awaits before the group stage ends against Ecuador.
